The kas school portal which runs on a PHP version 5.6 with features including Admission, Assignment, Multiple Admin, Automated Result, Transcript, Attendance, Infraction, School Website, Timetable, Newsletter, 2 Way Communication, Advanced Profiling, Parents Portal, Staff Portal, Students Portals, Payments, Bulk SMS and Advanced Help was recently upgraded by the programming team using the latest PHP version 7, MYSQL and JavaScript.

All promising upgrade module will be on the newer version which also includes the new features to be included in the portal such as Online Examination (CBT), Real time Library, Fingerprint attendances for staff and Payment of salary using dispatch algorithms.

The company promises all its existing clients a speedy upgrade to this version which will be at little cost to the school. The management however stated that the upgrade does not change the terms and policy of the portal as hence stated. The team also stated that schools that needs the upgrade should identify their portals by clicking on the “Module Upgrade button”.

The team also stated that typical upgrade usually takes 12 – 18 hour which will be done outside the academic hours between 8:00pm and 6:00am. As they stated, the previous version of the portal is Deprecated and the support for the version has been dropped.
