The National Survey on Citizens Inclusion in Governance (CIG) is a strategic initiative designed to collect and analyze grassroots data across Nigeria. The program aims to provide government bodies with actionable insights into the effectiveness of past and ongoing projects, while supporting data-driven policy planning for inclusive national development. The system empowers agencies and organizations to make informed decisions based on real community feedback and verified metrics.
The Challenge
Prior to the development of the CIG system, data collection processes were fragmented, inconsistent, and heavily manual. Government and development agencies faced significant barriers in obtaining reliable statistics from grassroots communities, making it difficult to measure the real impact of social programs.
The challenge was to build a unified, secure, and scalable digital platform that could handle nationwide data collection, aggregation, and analytics. This required both web and mobile systems capable of working in real-time, managing complex datasets, and presenting actionable insights through an intuitive dashboard.
What did
Kastech do
Kastech designed and developed a complete end-to-end digital ecosystem for the National Survey on Citizens Inclusion in Governance using the KAS Framework v2.50, ensuring flexibility, performance, and advanced data handling.
Within the project, Kastech built four fully integrated portals:
- Focus Group Collection Mobile Application: for field data gathering and offline submissions.
- Focus Group Analytical Portal: for processing, cleaning, and reviewing collected data.
- Survey Portal: for designing, publishing, and managing nationwide questionnaires.
- Analytic Survey Dashboard: for real-time data visualization and performance metrics.
The platform also featured a responsive project website with dynamic content, publication modules, video galleries, categorized portfolios, social media integration, SEO optimization, and a featured slider for major updates. The entire infrastructure was secured with Comodo SSL and optimized for high performance and reliability.
